Lyn Farr, M.S.
IHSG

Lyn brings extensive person- and family-centered service delivery experience to her consulting practice, from more than 40 years as a social worker and leader in the human services field. Since 2001, her work has focused directly on the development, implementation and administration of community-based services for children and families.

During her career, Lyn witnessed the evolution of the mental health and services delivery from an institutional, expert-driven medical model to current evidence-based, client/family-centered and recovery/resilience models. She was an early champion of aggressive family search and engagement strategies in California as a method to improve permanency options for youth in foster care. While working as a Chief Operating Officer for a large California non-profit agency, she became experienced in the use of technology and data feedback mechanisms to improve service outcomes.

Lyn has worked with the California Department of Social Services and other government agencies on various projects supporting successful implementation of Katie A. and CCR, including the development of the nation’s first Integrated Core Practice Model.

Lyn earned Bachelor and Master’s degrees in social work from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California.
